SNHL is seeking part-time person(s) to fill the job as custodian(s) for the library. Shaler resident or close proximity to the library is strongly preferred. We will absolutely consider team/couples! $15 -$18/per hour
The custodian(s) provides services for our 23,000 sq. ft. building and its surrounding property. This position is primarily responsible for sweeping, mopping, vacuuming; dusting and cleaning furniture, glass, shelves and equipment; cleaning and supplying restrooms; snow removal and removing trash/recycling and litter. Will be required to perform maintenance duties, such as moving furniture, boxes of books, supplies, plunge toilets, clean carpets, change ballast/bulbs, provide preventative maintenance and do light repairs. Program set-up/tear-down.
In addition, this person(s) will inventory and stock supplies, as well as assist the Director in maintaining relationships with vendors and meeting with them as needed.
This person(s) is not expected to perform any heavier maintenance tasks, such as carpentry, plumbing or electrical work.
We will work with you to create as flexible a schedule as possible, however, the bulk of work must be done either before opening or after closing and Saturday AM, including snow shoveling as needed. Federal Criminal Background Check, PA Criminal Record Check and PA Child Abuse History Clearance and a 10 year driving record are required upon offer of employment.
