Book Groups

The following Book Groups are currently active–in person with social distancing and/or virtually via Zoom. Please contact the Adult Services Department for more information.

Monday Night Book Group

Meets the second Monday of the month at 6:30pm. Reading picks include contemporary fiction and non-fiction.

Afternoon Mystery Book Group

Meets on the third Thursday of every month at 2:30pm. Old-school like Agatha Christie or crime thriller like David Baldacci, this group reads mysteries and thrillers of all kinds.

Readings in Alternative Everything

Second Wednesday of the month at 7:00pm. Community-led discussion group facilitated by Richard Kajuth, Eds, PhD. Currently virtual on Zoom. New interested readers should email Richard at for the link. Book title changes every few months.

Lively Lunch and Learn Book Group –currently on hold

Meets the fourth Wednesday of each month at 12:30pm. What’s hot in the non-fiction (true stories) world? Bring your lunch or a snack and come join some lively conversation.

Fantasy Book Group–currently on hold

Meets the first Wednesday of every month at 12:30pm.  Works of fantasy, science fiction,  speculative fiction are discussed.

Food for Thought Book Group –currently on hold

Meets the third Wednesday of the month at 6:30pm. This group is a cookbook discussion group. Each month we choose a “food theme”. Check out a library cookbook based on that theme, prepare a dish from the cookbook, and talk about your recipe and book.

Eckhart Tolle Discussion Group –currently on hold

Every Wednesday at 10:00am.  Community-led discussion group that focuses on the works of Eckhart Tolle.
