Virtual Storytime with the Quecreek Mine Rescue Site: Saturday, August 7, 10:00am

Enjoy our special virtual storytime in honor of the Quecreek Mine Rescue Site! We will read a story that will introduce children to local history in a fun and engaging way. Following the storytime, kids will be encouraged to participate in an activity based on the story we read!

About The Quecreek Mine Rescue Site:

The Quecreek Mine Rescue took place in Somerset County, PA, when nine miners were trapped underground from July 24-28, 2002. At this virtual program, Executive Director Bill Arnold will talk about the four-day rescue operation, and highlight what you may see at the rescue site during your visit. Following the presentation there will be an opportunity to ask questions and learn more!
