Concerned about coming into the library? We can bring your materials to your vehicle until mid-August!

Park and Pickup Service continues through mid- August.  We can deliver your materials right to your vehicle or to our front porch if you are coming via the bus/bicycle or on foot!

Selecting Materials:

  • You may request specific titles or general materials on topics/genres of interest.

  • You may select adult, teen, or children’s materials. Large Print or AV.

  • Search for specific titles from the Shaler North Hills Library by going to

Note! We can only fill orders from materials currently in our building. We cannot request materials through the holds system or from other libraries.

How to Place a Request:

  • For the quickest option, please request via this online form:

  • If you are unable to use the form, you may call us with your requests at 412-486-0211.

  • Give us at least 24-48 hours to pull items and we will notify you when you can pick them up.

  • We will check out items to your account for one month.

Picking Up Your Request:

  • Park in the back lot.

  • Open your trunk or back seat. Please stay in your vehicle.

  • Call us at 412-486-0211 and tell us your name and the make/color of your vehicle.

  • We will deliver clean/bagged items to your trunk or an unoccupied back seat.

Returning Materials:

To minimize contact and cross-contamination of materials that have already been quarantined, we are asking that if you have items to return, please put them in the bins by our Book Drop yourself.

  • Items are quarantined for 72 hours.

  • Donations may also be placed in the smaller, labeled bin.
