Celebrate the 50th Anniversary of Earth Day With Us!

Hey Friends! Wednesday is the 50TH Anniversary of Earth Day! History says almost 20 million people turned out on April 22, 1970 to raise awareness about our environment. And it’s still going strong today. Here are some things you can do this year–

Read a book about environmental issues. Here are some available on our ebook app Libby. (list below)

Watch for a fun quiz about ‘famous’ environmental activists later this week!

Send us a) one fact you learned about planet Earth, climate change or nature OR

Send us b) a photo of your Earth Day activity. You might: pick up litter on your walk; recycle at home; plant a garden; make a seed ball; take a hike; or surprise us!

Can you include “50” in your photo in some way??? Be creative! You can comment on FB or send an email to snhlibrary@gmail.com. Please put “Earth Day” in the subject line.
